A LEVEL WORK
A level work
In my final year at sixth form, we had the opportunity to design anything. I decided to research and focus into bomber jackets since they were trendy. My aim was to produce an aesthetically pleasing bomber jacket with some extra innovative and creative features. Having done the analysis in other bomber jackets, I gained key information and measurements that would allow me to take my project to the next step which was to produce variety of design ideas and do small models to pick the most suitable idea. After choosing the design I started manufacturing it.My final design idea was that the jacket would have a double layer so that the jacket will then be suitable for many seasons throughout the year and when it is summer the inner layer could then be folded and turned into a small handy ball to easily carry or could be placed in a bag. The inner jacket would also have a more formal look. On the other hand, the outer jacket layer looked more convenient for casual looks, as well as having a headphone feature. Earphones could be placed around the neck area through the back to avoid the wire getting on the way of the consumer in case doing any activities such as exercising or running. In this project overall I learned to recognise and overcome challenges and constraints when working towards the production of a high-quality product.
